2. Monitoring Types
NOTE: monitored item must be reachable from the Internet (Global IP address or 1:1 NAT).
Type3 requires administrative user account and inbound access must be arranged with customer.
3. Default Parameter
3-1. Web-GUI permissions
The UMM provides Web-GUI access to customer administrator. Here is list of thing that admin can do.
- Read status.
- Disable and Enable Email Alerts.
To modify (add/delete/edit) monitoring parameters please contact IIJA technical support.

3-3. Log Retention is 365 days.
3-4. Port Requirement
Type2 customers : please ask IIJA support for SNMP community settings. we will provide information.
The UMM sends alert notification via email.
When monitored item is detected as following states, UMM triggers email notifications.
1. Warning state
2. Critical state
3. Recovery state
Note: Definition of state is different for each item, please refer 3-2 for details.
4-2. Email Address Registration
Max number of destination email address is 3.
Please consider Mailing Lists (distribution list) if you have more than 3 destinations.
4-3. Notification to Mobile Devices (SMS).
US domestic wireless carrier often supports SMS via email delivery. If you desire to receive alert as SMS on your mobile device, please check your mobile carrier supports SMS delivery via email. The use of SMS may be charged depending on your wireless contract. Please confirm your SMS plan is under unlimited plan.

Note: The SMS has limited text length support thus alert message and its content might be trimmed by carrier.
